Q. What is consignment?

A. Consignment is business model that sells on your behalf for a fee. You, the consigner gets paid 40% of the selling price once the item sells.

Q. Why should I consign?

A. Consigning with us allows you to benefit from the expertise and customer base of our store without the upfront costs of selling yourself. We reach a wider audience, and save you the hassle of listing, shipping, and handling customer inquiries.

Q. How does the consignment process work with Belle Boutique Consignment?

A. 1. Drop off or send in items. (Bring your items to our shop or contact us for mail-in options.)


2. We do the rest: (We price, display, and promote your items. Our team knows what sells and how to market it.)

3. You get paid: (Once your item sells, you receive 40% of selling price or store credit. Payments are issued monthly via etransfer.)

Q. Do you ship internationally?

A. We do not ship outside of Canada. If you have someone you know in Canada, we would be more than happy to ship to any Canadian address for you. 

Q. How much is shipping, or where can I pick up?

A. We provide a flat rate shipping of $15 CAD Canada wide. Orders over $100 (before tax) qualify for a special rate of $10 shipping.

We ship all of our packages using UPS, Purolator or Canada Post.

We offer free local pick up. Pick up location is Calgary. Orders are ready for pick up within 1-2 business days after order is processed. (Often ready for same day pick up!) 

Q. Do you have a store front location?

A. We are an exclusive online-only women’s consignment boutique located in Calgary, Alberta. We don’t have a storefront location. We offer flat-rate shipping across Canada: $15 for orders under $100, $10 for orders over $100, and free local pickup in Calgary, Alberta.

Q. Are you accepting new consigners?

A. Yes! We are currently accepting fall consignment for both new and existing consigners. If you are not local to Calgary, contact us to arrange drop-off or mail-in options. (Available Canada-wide only.)

Q. What type of items do you accept?

A. We are currently accepting consignment for the fall season. Brands like Lululemon, Aritzia, Vuori, Anthropologie, Citizens of Humanity, Free People, Kate Spade, Mother, New Balance, Anine Bing, Skims, Alo Yoga, Veronica Beard, and Veja are in high demand and tend to sell well with us!

Q. What is your return policy?

A. All sales are final.

Q. How long does shipping take?

A. Orders are shipped within 1-2 business days (pending payment verification) via UPS, Purolator, or Canada Post. Shipping times may vary depending on the shipping location. During seasonal times or sales, items may take 2-4 days to be shipped. Shipping is Monday through Friday. 

Q. Can I pay via e-transfer?

A. All of our items are available for purchase via e-transfer. You can email us with screenshots or links of the items you would like to purchase @belleboutiqueyyc@gmail.com or send us a DM on Instagram @belleboutiqueyyc.

If you require shipping for heavier items or larger orders, we ask that you kindly checkout through the website. 

Q. How can I track my order?

A. Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. (be sure to check your junk folder) You will then receive a second email once your order is ready for pick up, or has been shipped and tracking information will be included there. 

Q. Can I use my consigner credit towards online purchases?

A. A. Consigner credit can be used anytime towards online purchases. To apply the credit, you can either send it via Instagram DM @belleboutiqueyyc or via email @ belleboutiqueyyc@gmail.com. If you’d like to add your consigner credit to your online account, please email us at belleboutiqueyyc@gmail.com to set it up!

Q. How are priced determined?  

A. Belle Boutique Consignment determines the prices and are based on the current market value for the season, condition and demand for the item.

Q. What percentage does the consigner receive? 

A. Consigners will receive 40% of the sold price for their items once they’ve been sold. Payments are made monthly via e-transfer or can be used towards shop purchases at any time. (Payouts are made on the first - second day of each month.) 

Q. Who will you ship with during any Canada Post strike?

A. A. In case of a Canada Post strike, all orders will be shipped via UPS and Purolator. However, we will be unable to deliver to PO Box addresses during any Canada Post strike. 

Q. Are items thoroughly laundered before being listed on the website?

A. All items must be washed by the consigner before being dropped off. (Unless they are new with tags attached) While it’s not guaranteed that all items are washed, every item is steamed (if safe to do so) when it arrives at our store.
