Consignment Terms

BELLE BOUTIQUE CONSIGNMENT​

TERMS OF CONTRACT 

 

In order to consign with Belle Boutique Consignment, you must agree to ALL terms of our contract.  Please email us @belleboutiqueyyc@gmail.com to consign or message via our contact tab. 

 

1.  Consignors will be paid 40% of the sold price for their items once the item has been sold. Payouts are done monthly via e-transfer, or can be used towards shop purchases at any time. Payouts are at the end of each month, unless the last day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday in which case payouts will be made the following ‘business day’.
 
2.  Belle Boutique Consignment has the right to refuse items for any reason. (this is typically due to excess wear, items that are older than 5 years old or styles/brands that do not sell well with us.)

    3.  Prices are determined by Belle Boutique Consignment and are based on current market value.

    4.  Price reductions and sales can occur unpredictably for various reasons such as lack of demand, market fluctuations, end of a season, or unnoticed damage/condition upon intake.

    5.  Unsold or unsellable items may be picked up or donated on your behalf. We donate to Women In Need Society (WINS). There is a section on our contract to check off whether you would like your unsellable items back, or if you would like them donated. 

    *If you would like your unsold/unsellable items returned to you, you will have 7 days to collect your items from the time we email you. We do not have the storage space to store unsellable items. After 7 days, these items will be donated automatically.

    6.  You, the consignor leave clothing/items at your own risk. Belle Boutique Consignment is not responsible for loss or damage.

    7.  Items remain property of Belle Boutique Consignment until they are deemed unsellable. We do not have a specified date or listing life cycle. Please do not ask for items back prior to Belle Boutique Consignment being done with them. A reprocessing fee may be applied if requesting items back sooner if item has already been inventoried, steamed, tagged, price researched, photographed and listed to website for sale. (This is a VERY time consuming process for us) 

      

    A FEW TIPS BEFORE YOU CONSIGN WITH US..  ❤︎

    Please consider which items you are wanting to consign. Will you change your mind in 2 weeks and frantically message us to have your item back? We’d suggest not consigning if that is the case. A reprocessing fee may be applied if requesting items back prior to us being done with them.

    Are the brands and styles in line with the type that we sell? (have a quick browse through our current inventory if you are unsure of the style we carry) We specialize in current on trend styles from popular brands and local boutiques that are 1-5 years old. We find the best selling items are 1-2 years old. 

    Have you checked your items for holes, stains and other damage? We are unable to accept items that are heavily worn, dirty, pilled, stained, have missing buttons, holes, are out of date etc. Please keep this in mind and check your items over for damage prior to dropping off for consignment. 

    Resale success is highest for new with tags or items that are in new condition and free of damage.

    Due to limited space constraints, we cannot accept unsellable items such fast fashion brands or items that are heavily worn, pilled, stained, have missing buttons, or that are out of style/older than 5 years old.

    AGOLDE, Alo Yoga, AG jeans, Anine Bing, Anthropologie, Aritzia, Brunette The Label, Citizens Of Humanity, Club Monaco, Free People, Joe's, Kate Spade, Kit And Ace, Levis, Lululemon, Mother, Madewell, Nordstrom Brands, Oak + Fort, Paige, Rag & Bone, Skims, Smash + Tess, Ted Baker, Tiffany & Co, Tory Burch, Veja & Vuori - to name a few!

    Generally speaking - similar brands that you would find at Nordstrom, Holt or local boutiques. 

    Brands we can not accept: (these brands do not sell well with us and we do not have space to store them)

    Aeropostle, Amazon fashion, Banana Republic, Brandy Melville, Calvin Klein, Dynamite, Forever 21, Gap, H&M, Joe Fresh, Le Chateau, Old Navy, Uniqlo, Reitmans, Rickis, RW & CO, Shein, Suzy Shier, Walmart, Zara etc.

    Generally speaking - we do not accept fast fashion brands.

           

     

    Please message via our contact us tab or email us @ belleboutiqueyyc@gmail.com to arrange drop off. If this is your first time consigning with us, we will email you a contract to electronically sign, or alternatively you may print it off and include with your items when you are ready to drop off.
